Lenny’s Shoe and Apparel Brews Up Fun During Boots ‘n Beer Event
ST. ALBANS, VT – On Friday evening Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel held their first ever Boots ‘n Beer fundraising event where they raised $710 for the Samaritan House in St. Albans.
During the three hour event, Lenny’s offered free Beer Tastings by 14th Star Brewing Company, a Veteran Owned Craft Brewery located in St. Albans. The beer was paired with cheese tastings from Boston Post Dairy out of Enosburg.
Raffle tickets were available for purchase and all proceeds were donated to the Samaritan House in St. Albans, a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and collaborative support services to people within Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. Lenny’s gave away over a dozen raffle prizes including Keen Utility boots, a Carhartt coat and Bogs Footwear.
“Some of our staff members are veterans and we wanted to come up with an event that would support local veterans in a fun way,” said Amanda Cashin, Marketing Director at Lenny’s. “We pulled together some community oriented organizations and Boots ‘n Beer was born. We are grateful for the generous support from our loyal customers and are excitedly planning our next fundraising event!”
